Round Robin

I recently joined the Boeing Quilt Guild and dove into a Round Robin project in hopes to better my quilting skills. How does relate to What's new Addy? Well...my center square is an "A" for Addysen as I thought it would be special for her to have a quilt with Laura's fabric in it but to have someone else come up with the design. (lol) Laura designed this fabric quite a few years ago and I have been holding on to because I didn't know what to do with it. This project started 5 months ago and we didn't get to see our quilt until the 5 rounds had been completed. Here's a picture of Addysen's finished quilt - these 5 ladies in my group did an amazing job!

Waiting patiently to see her quilt....(she's anticipating her surprise I promised her)

Her reaction...She loved it!! After I showed her I had to put it away so nothing could happen to it until it's done being quilted on the long-arm machine.

Family Ties

Aunt Laura and Cousin Jenna came to town and we had a blast!! We all played hooky and spent time in downtown Seattle shopping until our purses were empty! Then Laura, Jenna and I took a road trip in the Girl Bug to Portland for Quilt Market and Addy got to spend quality time with her Dad! Laura showed off her quilts while we all drooled and marveled over her talent and eye for design. (secretly hoping that Addy has inherited her creative gene)

We hope that Laura and Jenna come back to visit us very soon! Thanks for the memories!

Playing in my room

Hi everyone, Addy and I were just playing in her room one night and decided to snap some pictures of her funny faces..... Don't these capture her personality?

First Trip to the Park

Here are some pictures from our first visit to the neighborhood park. Addy loved the swings, played on the slide, looked through the large pastic bubble and climbed on the bars. (with Mom and Dad's help of course). We only got to stay for a little while since the weather is still chilly here.

She loved sliding down this short little slide. She sat up half way down then laid her head back the rest of the way down. Once she came down to me - her hair was full of static! It was very cute!

Walk Around the Block

Our first walk around the block...all bundled up becuase of the cold March weather. We took the essentials on our walk - the puppy and the umbrella. On our journey we touched flowers, grass, found many ledges to sit on and rocks to walk over. It was very fun to discover the nature in our very own neighborhood.

Egg Hunt at Grammie Rhonda and Grampie Ron's

Addysen's 2nd Easter and 1st Egg Hunt. It was a party (for the kids) in Ron and Rhonda's back yard Easter weekend. They hid a ton of eggs for the grandkids to find in their back yard. Addysen wasn't sure what to do at first but as she watched the other kids, she caught on really fast (with Dad's help of course). I think her favorite part was cracking the eggs open and eating the good stuff inside.

Dad showing her how to find an egg and put it in her basket

Addysen discovering that she can only carry 2 eggs at a time

Grampie Ron and Dad showing Addysen that the egg's come apart

Addysen eating the goodie hidden inside the egg!
The reward of a succesful egg hunt!!

Happy Easter Everyone!
